Located at an altitude of 1860 meters on a plateau in the Oisans massif, Alpe d'Huez, often called the "Island in the Sun" due to its exceptional sunshine, is a true paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. The Alpe d'Huez Grand Domaine Ski links the resort to several nearby villages, including Huez en Oisans, Villard Reculas, Oz en Oisans, Vaujany, and Auris en Oisans, offering a vast playground with 250 kilometers of slopes and an impressive vertical drop of 2200 meters.

The green slopes at the base of the resort provide a gentle learning curve, while the difficulty increases as you ascend higher. For added fun, recreational areas like the snowpark and Marcel's Farm slope have been developed.
